ATHLETICS

Eirini (Rena) started swimming at the age of 3 years and specializes mainly in butterfly (100, 200 meters) but she’s always open to new challenges and testing her talent in other events as well.
2022-2023:
Rena won 3 gold medals at the Northern Greece Winter Championship in the 50, 100 and 200 meters butterfly. She participated in the Multination Youth Swim Meet in Belgrade, Serbia ranking 7th in both the 100m and 200m fly. She came first in the C final an the Acropolis Swim Meet (International) in the 200m butterfly. Additionally, Rena participated in the Mediterranean Comen Cup in Larissa, Greece ranking 6th in the 100m fly. At Junior Nationals Rena came 5th in both the 100m fly (double age group – 1st among the girls born in 2008) and the 200m butterfly.
2021-2022: Rena participated as a member of the Junior Nationa Team at the Mediterranean Comen Cup in Limassol, Cyprus and came 5th in the 200m butterfly and 7th in the 100m butterfly. She also came 3rd in the 4×100 free relay breaking the National Record. During the same year at Junior nationals, Rena won two silver medals in the 100 and 200 meters fly and a bronze in the 1500m freestyle.
2020-2021: At Junior Nationals, Rena got 2nd place in the 1500m free, 4th in the 200m fly and 6th in the 200m IM.
2019-2020: During that year no official meets took place due to COVID-19.

AQUANEX  & College Week Evaluation by Coach Jesse Moore 

Rena participated in our annual College Week of Swimming and was coached under the direction of Coach Jesse Moore (learn more about Coach Moore HERE). Rena has also been included in our Aquanex™ Program of Swimming Technique and Power Analysis and Improvement.

PERSONAL

Rena was born and raised in Larissa, a city in Thessaly, Central Greece. She comes from an athletic family and has two brothers, a 18 year old Gymnast, who is about to start his studies in physical education, and an 13 year old Swimmer. Her mother and her stepfather were both swimmers. She graduated from Junior High School (Gymnasium) with excellent grades (GPA 4.0) which prove her excellent athletic and academic work ethic. Now she’s studying in a vocational high school, in which she takes courses such as anatomy, physiology and nutrition, and has chosen the specialization in physical therapy and nursing.
