ATHLETICS HISTORY
2024-2025: Zak started his second indoor season by running two new personal records for the 60 meters, at 7.33, and 23.65 for the indoor flat track 200 meters. He wasn’t able to finish the indoor season because of a hamstring injury.
2023-2024: Zak started his first Collegiate season running for Erskine College. He started his first indoor season running 7.34 for the 60 meters and 23.29 for the indoor 200 meters. Right before his outdoor season opener, he sustained a hamstring injury that kept him out for the rest of the season. He was able to recover before the Greek U20 Nationals, and he was able to run 23.26 with just a month of training.
2022-2023: Zak started his season in March with his first 400 meters race, running a time of 52.8 at his high school regional championships and winning first place. After that, his next race was in May, where he was able to run sub-23 for the first time, running a time of 22.97. He ended his season with a time of 22.85 for the 200 meters and just one race for the 100, running 11.39.
2021-2022: Zak was able to qualify for the 100 and the 200 meters for the U18 nationals and get the 18th place for the 100 with a time of 11.36 and 18th place for the 200 with a time of 23.15.
2020-2021: Isaak (Zak) competed for the first time at the U18 Nationals for the first time in the 200, getting 33rd place with a time of 24.56.
PERSONAL
Isaak (Zak) Venouziou is the son of Aaron Venouziou and Ria Chaliamalia. His father is a successful orthopedic surgeon, and his mother owns a women’s clothing shop in Thessaloniki, Greece. He has a younger sister, Lydia, who is 18 years old and a younger brother, Max, who is 14 years old. He has been running track since 2017 but started competitive track in 2020. He loves to cook, play music, and be active in his Community since he has been a Boy Scout for 14 years. Zak, also, is a hard-working student who is trying to get the best grades he can in his classes.
