ATHLETICS

Iasonas started playing Basketball at the age of 7 in a small Northern Greek town called Serres. He played for the Serres Club Team for 6 years and for the Deka Academy for 1 year.
He is now a Power Forward for the Peristeri B.C. in Athens and has been part of the team since 2021. An athletic power forward, focused on the game with willingness for the win. Playing with experience as he played a lot of difficult games. Very good bond with every teammate he plays with and follows perfectly his coach’s instructions.

  • 4th place at Junior Nationals for the 2021-22 season
  • Athens Champions U15 for the 2021-2022 season
  • Athens Champions U16 for the 2022-23 season
  • National Champions U16 for the 2022-2023 season

STATISTICS

  • Averaging 25.1min per game over the regular season (24 games), Rising stars tournament (15 games) and playoffs (10 games).
  • A very important skill is his creativity as he is able to create a lot of free shots and space for his team.
  • Due to his long hands, blocks are one of his most impressive stats as he averages 1.2 blocks per game which means he has minimum 1 block per game.
  • Also averaging 2.4 fouls per game with knowledge on where to do the foul depending on the game.

PERSONAL

Iasonas lives with his family in Athens and he comes from an elite Athletic family. His father George, was a top basketball player (height 2.08m) specializing in small forward and power forward positions. He was a member of the Greek National Team and played in top Basketball Clubs of Greece like Panathinaikos, AEK, etc.  Iasonas’s mother, Maria, was a top Volleyball player as well and played in various Volleyball Clubs in Greece. Iasonas’s younger sister, Dorothea, is a talented and highly promising Volleyball player as well and a member of the U14 Greek National Team.
