ATHLETICS

Lora started swimming at the age of five years old. Her favourite events are the 100 and 200 free, but also enjoys swimming the 200 IM, 100 fly, 400 free, 50 free and the 100 back.
2023: Lora came 1st in the 100m free, 2nd in the 200m freestyle and 4th in the 50m freestyle during Winter Junior Nationals. Her and her relay team won all 4 relay events (4*200m free, 4*100m free, 4*100 free mixed and 4*100m medley). At a regional meet in February Lora managed to win all of her events and came a step closer to her goal which was to attend this year’s Multination Swimming Meet.
2022-2023: Lora participated in the Comen Swim Cup with the National Team which was held in Larissa, Greece and came third in the women’s 4*200m freestyle as well as the  4*100m freestyle mixed, where they broke the National Record. At Junior Nationals, Lora came third in the 100m free and won the 4*200m free, while they also placed second and third in other relay events.
2021-2022: At Junior Nationals, Lora was runner-up champion in the 200m and 100m freestyle and came third in the 400m freestyle.
2020-2021: Because of COVID-19 no meets took place other than the Junior Nationals, where Lora was National Runner-up in the 200m freestyle and the 200m I.M

AQUANEX™  & College Week Evaluation by Coach Jesse Moore 

Lora participated in our annual College Week of Swimming and was coached under the direction of Coach Jesse Moore (learn more about Coach Moore HERE). Lora has also been included in our Aquanex™ Program of Swimming Technique and Power Analysis and Improvement.

PERSONAL

Lora was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She has a younger borther, Orestis who also swims competitively. Her father, Thomas, is an executive Chef, while her mother, Theodora is a teacher at a Nursing School. The school Lora is currently attentding is Varvakeios High School, where it is required to take exams in Mathematics And Modern Greek Language to be admitted as a student. Besides from swimming, Lora has been doing ballet since the age of three and has received multiple diplomas and has danced at The National Opera Of Greece, at a number of philanthropic dancing competitions, as well as at the very known Bolshoi Ballet. Lora’s favourite hobbies aside from ballet include painting, for which she has taken classes for three years, as well as reading books.
