ATHLETICS

Marilia started swimming at the age of 10. She mainly specializes in the 50m, 100m, 200m butterfly but is always willing to test her skill in other events as well.
2023-2024: Marilia has improved pb’s in the 100m and 200m fly from the beginning of the year until now. Marilia won 3^rd place in the 100m fly at the northern winter junior championship. She also participated in the international meet in Athens called “ACROPOLIS”. She came 5^th in the 100m fly at the high school national championship.
2022-2023: It was a rough year for Marilia however she received multiple medals at regional competitions.
2021-2022: Won the 2^nd place in the 100m fly at the northern winter junior championship. And the 7^th place in the 50m fly at the junior national championship.
2020-2021: It was every hard season for everyone because of covid-19 but in 2021 Marilia won the 7^th place in the 50m fly and the 8^th place in the 200m at the junior national championship and she received multiple regional medals.

PERSONAL

Marilia was born and raised in Drama, Greece where she lives with her family. Her father Lefteris is a military man, and her mother Evi, is a private employee. Marilia has a brother Stavros, who is 13 years old. Marilia excels both in the pool and in her studies, showcasing her dedication as both an exceptional athlete and a high-achieving student. She has received multiple academic honors from her high school and is always at the top of her class. In 2020 she won the second place in Junior National Mathematics contest called “EUKLIDES”. She has been involved in music since the age of 6, having excelled in several music competitions. She plays the piano excellently and has a very good cello. She is dedicated and disciplined to her daily schedule and goals, maintaining her ability to remain calm and steady under pressure.
