ATHLETICS

Michael has been swimming since the age of three. He mainly specialises in IM and Breaststroke events, but is also very talented in other events and OWS.
2023-2024: Michael qualified for the OWS Nationals where he and his relay team were National Champions. At Winter Nationals he was Runner-up Champion in the 100m and 200m Breast, and 4th in the 200m IM with PBs.
2022-2023: At Junior Nationals, Michael finished 2nd in both the 200m breaststroke and 200m IM. At Men’s Nationals, he was part of his team’s 4×100 Medley Mix where they were National Champions, as well as in the 4×200 Men’s Freestyle, where they got 2nd place.
2021-2022: At an International meet (Acropolis Swim Open), Michael took 2nd place in the 13-18 category in the 200m IM. At Junior Nationals, Michael got 4th place in the 200m and 400m IM.
2020-2021: Michael competed in the OWS Nationals, where he won the gold medal in the 4x1250m relay. There weren’t any official National meets that year due to COVID.
2019-2020: Michael took 4th place in the 200m & 400m IM during Junior Nationals.
2018-2019: Michael finished 4th in the 200 and 400 IM during Junior Nationals. At Men’s Nationals (Open) he competed in the 200m Breast and 400 IM, achieving PBs.

PERSONAL

Michael was born in Magoula, Attica and lives in Piraeus. His mom and dad are self-employed. He graduated from the private Lyceum “THEMISTOKLIS” where he he received various academic honors as one of the best students in his class.
