ATHLETICS
Zoe started swimming when she was 8 years old. She specialises in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke but she also enjoys swimming freestyle.
2023-2024: Zoe improved her PB at the 100m and 200m breaststroke. Zoe won 3rd place in the 200m breaststroke at the northern winter junior championships and 2nd place in her relay. She also participated in the international swimming meet called “ACROPOLIS” as well as the winter championships and qualified for the World Cup in Athens.
2022-2023: During the summer nationals, Zoe came 5th in the 100m, 200m breaststroke and 8th in the 50m breaststroke and her relay. She also received many medals at regional competitions.
2021-2022: Zoe broke her PB in the 100m, 200m breaststroke and in her 400m, 800m and 1500m freestyle. In the northern winter junior championships, Zoe placed 2nd in the 1500m freestyle and in her relay.
2020-2021: It was a rough year for everyone due to Covid-19 but Zoe managed to break her PB in the 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m freestyle and in her 100m breaststroke. Zoe won many medals at regional competitions and during the summer nationals, she won 2 golds with her relays.
PERSONAL
Zoe was born and raised in Kavala, Greece where she lives with her family. Her older brother, Giannis is also a swimmer who is currently competing for Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Her mother Despoina, is an agronomist and her father Nikiforos, is a freelancer. Throughout her life, Zoe has explored a variety of sports, but swimming stole her heart. She has been passionately dedicated to it for the past 9 years, showcasing her commitment and perseverance. In addition to her athletic pursuits, Zoe has been deeply involved in music since the age of 6. She plays the cello and has participated in numerous music competitions. Zoe’s hard work extends to her academics, as she has earned multiple honours and mentions from her high school showing her commitment as a student.
