Eirini (Rena) Natsiou has officially signed her commitment to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where she will pursue her undergraduate studies and continue her swimming career on a full NCAA Division I athletic scholarship in the United States 🇺🇸.
Hailing from Larissa, Rena is a standout swimmer and a proud member of the Greek Junior National Team. Her journey to the collegiate level reflects years of discipline, resilience, and dedication to excellence, developed through high-level international competition and consistent commitment both in and out of the pool.
UTRGV is widely recognized for its strong academic programs, student-centered culture, and competitive athletic environment. This balance allows student-athletes to thrive academically while training and competing at the highest collegiate level—an environment that made UTRGV an ideal fit for Rena as she continues her development as a scholar-athlete.
Competing in NCAA Division I, the UTRGV Women’s Swimming & Diving program emphasizes disciplined training, team culture, and long-term athlete development. Within this structure, Rena will have the opportunity to contribute immediately, represent the Vaqueros at the conference and national level, and continue her growth as both an athlete and a student.
After attracting interest from multiple programs, Rena carefully evaluated her options and proudly accepted her offer to become a UTRGV Vaquera, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in her athletic and academic journey.
